Stand diameters found to follow Weibull distribution
A new forest is raised every time the page opens, and its trees grow by the Chapman–Richards model.
ISPARTA. The forest on our front page is regenerated on every visit. Tree diameters are drawn from a three-parameter Weibull distribution, while heights follow a Chapman–Richards height–diameter model. The taper of each stem is a small nod to stem taper models.
Readers may hover over any tree to see its diameter at breast height and its total height. Because the parameters change with every edition, the same stand is unlikely to appear twice. Lecture notes on page 2, publications on page 3.
